Back logged dump!

There is a mass amount of sketchbook, paintings and other drawings I haven't had the chance to get a good picture of. Well here it all is

Anime close up!

Russian folk tales. I've been reading some

face melt

there is no place on my balcony to get a good picture of this with out the shadow of the railing getting in.

likewise I need a better picture of this.

and this... I need to actually need to light my paintings. Damn small scanners!

from a trip to the sf zoo

My favorite area is the birds of prey inclosure to which you can get within a couple feet of these awesome birds tethered there in the open air. it always fascinates me

this one my favorite. her name's athena. being an owl she just sleeps all day. which is great as for a model and every now and then she opens her eyes, sometimes jus one and gives you observant looks

had this image in my head. still needs some refinement

Dogs of War

Another week another awesome gif. This time with psychedelic speed lines! I created this gif based on the gods and goddesses that surround the greek god Aries. Adrestia the goddess of revenge, Demios the goddess of dread, Phobos the god of fear, Eris the goddess of discord and Enyo the god of bloodshed. Also there are his demon servants Hebe his bath drawer, Thero his healer, Kydoimos demon of battle and Hysminah demon of manslaughter. I honestly don't know who the guy on the deer is... maybe Apollo? I had the image before I had the backstory. I think I'll do some more character sketches for these guys.

painting time!

So next week is I'm done with the great Randy Chavez's painting class. I've been absorbing a shit ton of awesome stuff and I can honestly say that I've become competent at painting!

first all day pose... it gets progressively better. This was model Terry's cowboy theme pose!

new model another all day pose. same color pallet as the one for Terry

A bunch of studies of plaster casts. not sure on the time but it's anywhere from 40mins to a couple hours

the bottom half of hansom squidward

2 day pose 12hrs. I got bored with such a long pose and the colors I was using were kinda zombie voodooish colors so I added some creeptastic creatures to it.

6hrs once again a change up. The model was dressed as a fairy but the colors I wanted to use need something more awesome. From butterfly wings to demon bat wings!

Quick studies from a class trip to fisherman's wharf

It's a ball! the end

Gulliver's Island's or how i used to be at age 12

So I was able to get back home last weekend and found this little gem when I was 12 years old. It definitely is crappy and I debated not posting it but I got a little sentimental for my early influences. It really made me think about my evolution as an artist and made me want to revisit the different kinds subject matter that could be pushed more that I'm better. so here it is complete with director commentary and for those who think it's a copout to be posting something not new than skip to the end I've got two new pieces for you to look at.

New gif plus new sketch book entries

So I made a new gif and figured... well it pretty much does the same as the first so to add some spice to this post i'm going to release some stuff from a previously unknown sketchbook. Yes it's an off brand  moleskin. As much as I think they're overrated... I own one... but at least it's on a thicker paper stock so I can actually use some mixed media.

not gonna lie... most of these i did in varying states of inebriation
