So for the past two weeks i've started up working on Street Justice Ch. 2. I've gotten 4 extra pages done bringing my total up to 16 pages. So with any luck i'll be done by the end of summer but until then here are some character designs for some upcoming characters

Mighty Boosh pieces finished

So for the past week or so I've been working on this Mighty Boosh piece. I don't often do fan art at all, but that just tells you how awesome I think Noel Fielding and Jullian Barrett are.

the final was done in watercolor and acrylic. if you can believe it the portraits are all in water color and the background is the acrylic. some water colors such as lemon yellow, cerulean blue, new gamboge and white have a chalkier pigments so if you build them up you can use them as gouache layers. crazy right!?

color study. Originally I wanted to do the background as a type of photo collage digitally as a homage to the opening of the show "come with us now on a journey through time and space, to world of the Mighty Boosh" sigh...but it didn't work out quite as well as i had hoped. it either felt to busy or to separate from the portraits

Final sketch. the original concept was to put them in different costumes that represented their character's personalities. Howard is the minstrel because he's the tiny eyed jazz loving musician and Vince is the clown because he's fashionable androgeness free spirit.

concept sketches

initially with my final concept I wanted to do full figures but I was having trouble with a composition that would put their face into prominence... cause they have awesome faces so I did portraits instead.
