SF Zine Fest is coming this weekend and guess who just got off the the waiting list and snagged a table! If you need something to do you can swing by the County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park this saturday and sunday and see some amazing artists! I’ve been trying this summer to develop a new work method based on looking at the value systems in etchings and classic ink masters such as Thomas Nast and Grandville. Right now I’m just locked in a debate about how expressive and rendered I want things to be… well see, I change my views on this from sketch to sketch but I’m pumped to see how it’ll evolve.

Experiment in Style

It's been a while since I've posted anything... I feel like I keep that's saying that but I suspect that's because I post things on tumblr (http://sharkbat.tumblr.com/)and wait un till I have a good surplus going. In any case I've been primarily working on comic projects but I've had enough writers block to prompt a slew of sketchbook projects that have been testing out some different styles

Street Justice Preview: The Thunder Club

So i've been working on the latest chapter of Street Justice for two weeks or so and I'm  was continually debating what I'm going to do with it. Some paintings started on a fresh canvas pad. The subjects are from the asian art museum, an indonesian shadow puppet and a bust of the Buddha.

This piece appeared in a story for Z Magazine. A magazine for zombies about Zombie living. The story was about a Zombie going to his own father's family and dealing with his family.
